Daaru Taleem Children’s Arabic School was founded in 2003 with a clear mission: to teach children the Qur’an, the Arabic language, and the understanding of Islam in a nurturing environment.
Since the first graduation ceremony (Haflah) in 2009, the school has grown into a full programme spanning the Ibtidaahiyah and Hidaadiyah levels.

To raise children who are confident in reading, writing, and reciting the Qur’an in Arabic; who understand the foundations of Islam; and who carry Islamic law and character into their daily lives.
A community of young Muslims rooted in divine knowledge, fluent in the language of the Qur’an, and prepared to serve their families and society with excellence.
From the first Arabic letters to deeper Islamic studies, our levels guide each child step by step.
Foundation / Beginners Level
The starting point of a child’s journey. Pupils are introduced to the Arabic alphabet, correct pronunciation, basic reading and writing, and the first steps of Qur’anic recitation alongside simple Islamic manners and beliefs.
Intermediate Level
Building on the foundation, pupils advance in Arabic comprehension, grammar, and Islamic law. They deepen their understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah, preparing them for higher Islamic studies.
Our curriculum combines the language of revelation with the practical understanding of Islam.
Recitation, memorisation, and Tajweed with qualified teachers.
Reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension in classical Arabic.
Foundations of Fiqh covering worship, transactions, and daily life.
Adaab, history, and moral training for upright young Muslims.
Founder & Ameer, IET
Scholar, educator, and community leader devoted to raising the next generation upon Islamic knowledge.
Ibrahim Hamzat Idowu brings together Western education, Arabic scholarship, and traditional Islamic learning. He completed his secondary education at Wahab Folawiyo High School, Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, in 1996.
He then studied at Markaz Arabic and Islamic Training Centre, completing in 2002, before earning his university degree from King Faisal University in N’Djamena, Chad in 2013. He also holds a Diploma in Arabic from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
Beyond formal qualifications, he has attained Ijazah (scholarly authorisation) in Tafsir, Usul al-Fiqh, and other Islamic sciences. He currently serves as the Ameer (leader) of the Islamic Education Trust (IET).
